Wedding Cake & Amamoor Lodge

We went to a wedding on the weekend.  I thought this cake topper was so cute - 'don't let her get away now!!'
The wedding took place in a little (and I mean little) town called Amamoor (near Gympie).
Amamoor consists of a little general store and about a dozen houses, oh and a hall where the wedding reception was held.

It is also where you can find the most delightful B & B called "Amamoor Lodge".
We spent the night there and we could have easily spent a few nights. The hosts John and Cynthia were so welcoming and everything was so clean and well laid out.  Tea and coffee was available whenever we wanted it with some of Cynthia's home baking.
We were greeted in the morning by all the local bird life.
A most beautiful setting.

Cynthia is  a quilter and there is a hand made quilt on
each bed.  This is our room.  The rooms were so beautiful with all the natural wood.  John and Cynthia have built this place up from old farm buildings.  It is a real credit to them.

The dining area.
I loved all the stained glass with Australian motifs and -  Cynthia did them!!     She is one talented lady.
If you are looking for somewhere to stay and enjoy the quintessential Aussie bush, you couldn't go past "Amamoor Lodge".

These wedding cake toppers seem to be he fashion now
Isn't the Ammamoor Lodge lovely. Fancy having those beautiful quilts on the beds..I would be too afraid people would steal them.
Sounds like a good break away.

What a cute cake topper. Must have been a restful/peaceful time away. The B&B must be a lovely place too. So nice to be surrounded by handmade soft furnishings, which no doubt took your eye.
